My name's Karren and I've been teaching fitness classes for over 22 years, specifically specialising in Pilates for the last 12.

I trained through Stott Pilates and still regularly attend their training classes to keep myself up to date with current techniques. 

I vary the classes to make them functional and fun and I use various pieces of equipment including weights, bands, stability cushions and balls.


What is Pilates?

Pilates aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and well being.

What are the health benefits?

Practitioners say regular Pilates can improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension. Pilates can complement training by developing whole-body strength and flexibility, and help reduce the risk of injury.

Who is Pilates for?

Pilates has something to offer people of all ages and levels of ability and fitness, from beginners to elite athletes.  If you have any concerns you can call me to discuss.  The Pilates I teach has you standing and lying down so you must be able to progress easily from standing to sitting and lying.

I've attended Karren's classes since the very beginning and they are always packed full of exercises that suit a variety of levels. The classes are varied and she uses equipment all the time to keep the class fresh and different. It also helps that she clearly has a passion for teaching and that comes across in the classes.
